Yes, we offer walk-in services for certain appointments, including mammograms.

What insurance do you take?

We will file a claim to all insurances. It is the patient’s responsibility to check with their insurance to determine if our providers are in-network with their plan.

Do you take Medicaid?

No. We do not accept any Medicaid plans at this time. We can, however, offer you a self-pay rate to be seen by one of our providers.

Do you offer payment plans?

Absolutely! We would like to divide the total bill by 4-6 months, but we are willing to be flexible with each patient. We only ask for faithfulness each month from the patient.

We accept cash, checks, and credit cards (VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and AMEX). We accept payment by phone, mail, online, and in person.

Can I pay my bill online?

Patients can pay bills online through their patient portal on instamed.com.

My InstaMed account won’t work, what do I do now?

Please call the office to get a newly generated username & password.

What radiology exams do you do in your office?

We do X-rays in our office. We also can do EKG testing in our office. We do not perform MRI and CT scans, but the providers can write an order for these exams to be done if indicated.

What type of doctor is Dr. Tim, sports medicine only?

Dr. Tim is a Primary Care Physician (family doctor). He specializes in Sports Medicine as well. Dr. Tim sees all ages and acute or chronic illnesses.

If I see Dr. Lisa, can I also see Dr. Tim at a different appointment?

Of course! Our providers share patients as needed. If you need to get in, you can see any provider that has the first available.

Is your patient portal the same as St. Anthony’s?

We do not use the same patient portal as Franciscan St. Anthony Health. We are a private practice. Our patient portal is yourhealthfile, whereas the Franciscan St. Anthony Health patient portal is mychart.

At what hospitals do the doctors have privileges?

Drs. Tim & Lisa do not round at any hospitals in the area. They are in close contact with a doctor who admits patients at Franciscan Crown Point.

Do we accept AmBetter and/or CareSource?

We are now contracted & credentialed with CareSource & AmBetter! Although if either of these plans is through Medicaid/HIP we are NOT contracted.

What is a limited diagnostic prenatal ultrasound?

A limited diagnostic prenatal ultrasound allows you to see your baby and hear their heartbeat, primarily to confirm their gender and assess the baby's presentation and placental location without replacing a comprehensive diagnostic ultrasound.

Is it safe? Are there any risks to me, or my baby?

Extensive studies indicate that ultrasound is safe and poses no risks to mothers or babies. The technology used for 3D/4D/HD scans is identical in type and intensity to traditional 2D scans.

What type of ultrasound equipment do you use?

We utilize the state-of-the-art GE Voluson ultrasound system to conduct all ultrasound examinations, known for producing the finest 2D, 3D, 4D, and HD images.

Do I need to make an appointment for a 3D sonogram?

Yes, appointments are necessary for all services, and it's advisable to book in advance.

How long does a 3D or 4D prenatal ultrasound session take?

The session typically lasts about 30 to 45 minutes, with the ultrasound itself taking approximately 15 to 20 minutes.

What is the difference between a 3D, 4D, and HD scan?

A 3D ultrasound provides detailed still images; a 4D ultrasound shows the baby moving, while HD ultrasounds provide the highest quality images with stunning clarity and real-time video of the baby.

Will I always get beautiful 3D ultrasound pictures?

While we strive for great images, factors like the baby's position can affect visibility. We offer complimentary repeat scans if you don't get satisfactory images.

Can I bring family and friends to the ultrasound session?

Absolutely! We encourage family and friends to join, and we also offer Sonostream LIVE technology for those who can't be there in person.

Does insurance cover the 3D pregnancy ultrasound procedure?

Insurance does not cover these limited diagnostic procedures, which are out-of-pocket expenses.

Please be prepared to pay your out-of-pocket expense at the time of service. We verify your benefits ahead of time and can call you prior to your appointment to let you know what your insurance benefits are. Everyone’s out-of-pocket expense differs based on your personal insurance.

Some exams do require prep; however, you can refer to your specific exam prep instructions on the website to see how to prepare.

How long will my exam take?

An MRI exam can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour, while a CT scan is generally 10 to 45 minutes. An X-ray can require 10 to 30 minutes.

Do I need to have a doctor’s prescription to be seen at your facility?

Yes, a written prescription from your doctor is required to schedule and complete your exam.

Why do I have to change into a gown for my MRI examination?

Due to the increasing number of materials containing metallic threads, we require all patients to change into gowns for MRI exams to ensure patient safety.

When and how do I get my results of the scan?

The exam is read by our radiologist, and the results are forwarded to the referring physician within 24 hours. Discuss results with your physician.

How can I get a copy of my images?

You can request images on a CD by calling our facility. The initial CD is complimentary, but any additional copies will cost $5 each.

Do I have to fill out paperwork prior to the exam?

Yes, every patient must fill out a screening form before their visit. You can access the necessary paperwork online.

What do I need to bring to my appointment?

Bring an updated insurance card, photo ID, doctor's prescription, and any previous imaging on a CD.
