What are your office hours?

Our office hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We are closed on weekends.

We offer 2D, 3D, 4D, and HD Live ultrasounds at our facility.

Do I need a referral from my doctor?

Yes, all expecting mothers must be under a doctor's care before scheduling an appointment.

What kind of discounts do you offer?

We provide discounts for military, police, fire, EMS, nurses, doctors, and teachers when they show their ID.

Will Medicaid or Insurance cover my ultrasound?

Elective Pregnancy or Health Screening Ultrasounds are not covered by Medicaid or Insurance, as they are not deemed medically necessary. For Diagnostic Ultrasounds, we accept most FSA or HSA cards for Self Pay Prices and can provide an itemized receipt upon request.

What is the difference between Elective and Diagnostic ultrasound?

Elective Ultrasounds are limited scans typically chosen by expectant mothers for a glimpse of their baby. In contrast, Diagnostic Ultrasounds are ordered by physicians for medical purposes, interpreted by a Board Certified Radiologist, with results available within 24-48 hours.

What is the Prenatal Care Policy?

Clients seeking an Elective ultrasound must be under active prenatal care from a physician or midwife. This ultrasound session is not a replacement for prenatal care, and any suspicion of abnormality will be communicated to the healthcare provider.

When is the earliest/latest time I can get an ultrasound?

The earliest ultrasound can be performed at 6 weeks, while the latest is at 36 weeks.

How early can you determine the gender of my baby?

You can find out the gender of your baby as early as your ultrasound session, keeping in mind that you may have up to 4 guests in-office, with more welcome for at-home sessions.

Are you open on Sundays?

Yes, we are open on Sundays, but there is an additional convenience fee of $50.

When can I do 3D/4D ultrasounds?

It’s entirely up to you! However, the best results for clear images of the baby's face are typically at around 27 weeks.

Is insurance accepted at Sonolife Ultrasound Studio?

Currently, we do not accept insurance. However, we can provide an itemized receipt to assist with your needs.

What types of diagnostic services does Sonolife Ultrasound Studio offer?

We offer a variety of diagnostic services, including obstetric ultrasound, gynecological ultrasound, abdominal ultrasound, vascular ultrasound, musculoskeletal ultrasound, and small parts ultrasound.

Do I need to prepare for my ultrasound?

Preparation varies by the type of ultrasound. For certain exams, you might need to drink water beforehand to fill your bladder, and we will provide specific instructions when you schedule your appointment.

When will I get my results?

Typically, diagnostic and preventative results are available within a few days and will be faxed to your ordering physician. Your healthcare provider will discuss the findings with you.

What is an elective prenatal ultrasound?

An elective prenatal ultrasound is a 2D, 3D & 4D session that offers an opportunity for families to bond with their unborn baby through realistic images. It is important to have had a medical ultrasound already conducted by a healthcare provider before scheduling.

Is it safe? Are there any risks to me, or my baby?

Extensive studies over 35 years have shown that ultrasound poses no harm to either mothers or babies. The 3D and 4D ultrasounds employ the same type of sound waves as conventional 2D scans.

Will I always get a beautiful picture of my baby?

While beautiful images are often obtained, factors such as the baby's position or the amount of amniotic fluid can affect visibility. The staff will discuss potential issues prior to the session.

Can I bring my family and friends?

Yes, the clinic encourages clients to invite family and friends to share in the joyful experience.

Is the 4D ultrasound covered by Insurance?

Currently, insurance does not cover our elective ultrasounds, which are a personal expense. Payment can be made via cash, Mastercard, Visa, Discover, and Apple Pay.

What kind of ultrasound equipment do you use?

We use the state-of-the-art GE Voluson S8 ultrasound machine, known for its high-quality imaging capabilities.

When is the best week to see baby's face?

The best time for a 4D ultrasound is between 26-34 weeks, but good images can be captured after 22 weeks.

What services does your center provide?

We offer free pregnancy tests, parenting resources, and emotional support for expecting parents.
