Extensive studies over 35 years have shown that ultrasound poses no harm to either mothers or babies. The 3D and 4D ultrasounds employ the same type of sound waves as conventional 2D scans.

While beautiful images are often obtained, factors such as the baby's position or the amount of amniotic fluid can affect visibility. The staff will discuss potential issues prior to the session.
