What is an elective prenatal ultrasound?

We offer elective 3D & 4D prenatal ultrasounds to provide a bonding experience for the family with the unborn baby. These ultrasounds are not intended to replace a routine diagnostic ultrasound that should be performed by a healthcare provider.

Is the 3D/4D ultrasound safe?

Yes, studies over 30 years indicate that ultrasound doesn't harm mothers or babies. The technology used in 3D/4D scans is similar to conventional 2D scans.

Do I need an appointment?

Yes, appointments are necessary for all services provided by our clinic.

How long does the 3D/4D ultrasound take?

We schedule a full hour for the session, with the ultrasound lasting 25-30 minutes followed by time to select your favorite images.

When should I schedule my 3D/4D ultrasound?

We recommend scheduling between 26 to 34 weeks of pregnancy for optimal images, but excellent results can be obtained after 22 weeks.

Can I bring my family and friends?

Yes, we encourage clients to invite family and friends to enhance the experience, and we can accommodate several guests.

Can you tell the sex of the baby?

Yes, usually we can identify the gender, but it is not guaranteed as it depends on the baby's position.

Is the ultrasound covered by medical insurance?

Currently, insurance does not cover the cost of our elective ultrasounds, and payments are handled as out-of-pocket expenses.

What kind of ultrasound equipment do you use?

We use the state-of-the-art GE Voluson E8 ultrasound machine, recognized for its superior image quality.
