Ultrasound imaging utilizes high-frequency sound waves that bounce off tissues, returning to the machine at varying frequencies based on tissue density, which is then translated into images.

What is the difference in 2D, 3D, 4D, and HD?

2D ultrasounds provide traditional black & white images showing the outline of the baby. 3D shows more realistic images of the baby's features. HD enhances these images for greater realism.

When is the best time to have an ultrasound?

The optimal time for 3D/4D ultrasounds is between 24-36 weeks, when the baby is sufficiently developed for better imaging.

What if I'm having twins, do you charge extra?

No extra charge for multiple babies, but we recommend the Premium Glimpse package for more time with each baby.

When will I receive my pictures and video?

Pictures and videos are ready for you to take or send to your phone/email right after the session.

Will you be able to tell if my baby is a boy or a girl?

Gender can typically be determined from 6 weeks via DNA test or through ultrasound starting from 13 weeks.

Do I need to come with a full bladder or drink lots of water?

Being well-hydrated improves image clarity, especially for 3D/4D ultrasounds. A full bladder is recommended before 18 weeks.

Can I bring anyone with me to watch the ultrasound?

Yes! Our studio accommodates multiple family members and friends.

Do I need an appointment?

Yes, appointments are required and can be booked online or via phone.

Can you tell me how big my baby is or if my baby is healthy?

Precious Glimpse is an elective ultrasound facility. We do not provide diagnostic services.

What is a diagnostic mammogram?

A diagnostic mammogram is utilized to diagnose a lump or abnormality in the breast, and to better assess breast tissue that may have been challenging to evaluate in a routine screening mammogram.

Are mammograms painful?

Mammograms are generally not painful; however, some women may experience a bit of discomfort. Scheduling your mammogram when your breasts are not tender may help reduce discomfort.

What is breast density?

Breast density refers to the amount of fibrous and glandular tissue in the breasts compared to fatty tissue. Higher amounts of fibrous or glandular tissue result in denser breasts.

Does the density of my breast matter?

Yes, having dense breast tissue may increase breast cancer risk since both dense tissue and tumors appear white on a mammogram, complicating interpretation.
