How can I learn the gender of my baby?

We offer gender determination at 6 weeks using Sneak Peek Labs and from 14 weeks via ultrasound.

How does lab testing for gender work?

The Sneak Peek test is a blood test that analyzes the baby's gender and takes about 15 minutes to complete.

How long until I receive my lab test results?

Results are emailed to you about 2 days after the sample is received; fast-tracking is available for $20.

When is the best time to get a gender ultrasound?

Gender ultrasounds can be performed any time after 14 weeks of pregnancy.

What if the baby does not cooperate during the ultrasound?

We will bring you back to redo the portions of the service that we were unable to complete at no extra cost.

Will my ultrasound be sent to my doctor?

No, we don't send ultrasounds to third parties; you will receive a DVD recording and photos.

Will someone tell me if there is something wrong with my baby?

If we observe anything abnormal, we will notify you, but we do not provide diagnostic services.

How long does an exam take?

Typically, an exam lasts between 30-45 minutes, although complicated exams may take longer.

When will the doctor get the results of my exam?

The doctor will have the results within 24-48 hours after your exam.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?

Please call at least 24 hours in advance to cancel or reschedule. If not canceled timely, a $35 fee will be applied.

Do you accept worker's compensation cases?

Yes, with proper documentation and authorization, we will process a claim with your worker's compensation insurance.

Do you accept automobile injury, claim and lien claim cases?

I'm very claustrophobic. What should I do?

I am a large person. Do I have to be concerned?

Our MRI scanner accommodates patients up to 440 lbs, so you shouldn't have any concerns.

Are there any reasons that I should not have the scan done?

Yes, please inform us if you have any metallic implants, pacemakers, or are possibly pregnant as these can affect the scan.

MRI is considered very safe, with no known health risks from the magnetic field or radio waves, but please inform us if you are pregnant.

Do I need to prepare for the exam?

No special preparation is needed, though avoiding caffeine may help you relax.

Can I eat before the exam?

Yes, you can eat normally unless contrast material is used, in which case fasting for 2 hours is recommended.

An Open MRI provides clear views and allows you to see and converse with the technologist, enhancing patient comfort.

What is the exam like?

Exams consist of several sequences, taking about 30 to 45 minutes, during which you must lie still.

Will I feel anything during the scan?
