What is an elective prenatal ultrasound?

An elective prenatal ultrasound is a non-medical imaging procedure that provides realistic 2D, 3D, or 4D images to connect parents with their unborn baby.

Does this take the place of an ultrasound at my doctor’s office?

No, it is not a substitute for a medical ultrasound. You must have already had a medical ultrasound ordered by your healthcare provider.

Is it safe? Are there any risks to me, or my baby?

Extensive studies indicate that ultrasound has not shown harm to mothers or babies. The 3D and 4D ultrasounds use the same intensity of ultrasound as conventional 2D.

Do I need an appointment?

Yes, appointments are required for all services.

How long does the 4D ultrasound take?

The duration of a 4D ultrasound session ranges from 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the chosen package.

How far along should I be for a 4D ultrasound?

It is recommended to have the ultrasound between the 29th and 36th week of pregnancy for the best results.

Will I always get a good picture of my baby?

While most of the time you will get good images, factors like the baby's position may affect visibility.
