Can elective ultrasounds substitute for my doctor's ultrasounds?

No, elective ultrasounds are not a substitute for diagnostic ultrasounds prescribed by your doctor. It's best to have your initial scans through your healthcare provider.

Are there any risks associated with ultrasound?

Sonograms employ low-output sound waves that are regulated by the FDA, and extensive research has shown they pose no harm to mothers or babies.

When is the ideal time to schedule my ultrasound?

We recommend scheduling your session between 24 and 34 weeks for the best images, but we can capture beautiful images before and after this period as well.

Can I bring guests to the ultrasound session?

Yes, you can invite family and friends to join your session, and for those unable to attend, we provide live streaming.

HD Live is GE’s latest ultrasound technology offering high-definition 3D/4D images that provide very fine details of your baby in real-life rendering.

What is the difference between a Diagnostic scan and an Elective scan?

Diagnostic scans are ordered by physicians to determine the best course of treatment, while Elective scans are requested by expectant mothers wanting to see their baby in 3D/4D or HD Live.

Does an Elective scan replace my doctor’s ultrasound?

No, Elective scans do not replace your physician’s diagnostic ultrasound. It's required to have had a first diagnostic ultrasound before opting for an elective scan.

The CE requirement for RTs is 24 credits each biennium regardless of the number of ARRT certificates. RRAs must complete 50 credits every biennium.

A and A+ credits are designations assigned by the RCEEM that approves the course. Both RTs can take either type.

Are AHEC's Home Study and/or CE courses approved for CE credit that ARRT will accept for my license renewal?
