Can I pick up my images to take to my doctor or specialist?

If your physician or a specialist requests that you bring a copy of your images, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance, and we will prepare a CD/DVD for you. We can also send copies of your report directly to another physician or specialist with your consent.

How can I renew my OHIP card?

For information on changing or renewing your health card, please refer to the official OHIP website.

Why can't the technologist tell me what they see?

Technologists are not legally permitted to disclose results; a doctor who specializes in interpreting these tests must read the examination.

How long does it take for my doctor to get the results?

Your doctor will typically receive the results of your test within 3-4 business days, if not sooner.

I was told not to eat or drink anything before my test. Can I take my medication?

If you have any medications you are concerned about, especially if you are diabetic, please inform the receptionist during your appointment booking.

How long will my test take?

Most tests take less than half an hour to complete, although some specific tests may take longer. It's advisable to check with the receptionist or technologist for a more accurate timing based on your examination.

Why do I need to book an appointment for some tests?

Certain tests require appointments due to necessary preparations or to ensure that specialized equipment and staff are available.

Why do you need to see my health card at every visit?

Your OHIP card is essential for processing payments for your tests. We need to verify your information at every visit to ensure proper reimbursement.

Why do I need to bring my requisition if I've already booked the appointment?

The requisition is a legal order from your doctor, and without it, we cannot perform any tests.

Why do I have to pay for my report ordered by my Chiropractor?

Reports requested by chiropractors are not covered by OHIP. This fee compensates the radiologist for their expertise in interpreting the imaging and preparing the report.

Do I need a requisition to make an appointment for a mammogram?

You can self-refer for mammograms at age 40, with no need for a referral. This service is covered by OHIP.

How do I book an ultrasound appointment?

You can book an ultrasound appointment by calling our clinic, booking online through the PDXN website, or simply walking in.

Do I need to prepare for my ultrasound?

Most ultrasounds do not require any special preparation, but you can check our patients page for specific instructions based on the type of ultrasound you need.

Our address is Room 301;302- 247 Simcoe St North, Oshawa, ON L1G 4T3, located on the northeast corner of Simcoe and Adelaide, one block south of the hospital.

There are two parking lots available: one above ground off of Simcoe and another underground off of Adelaide. Please note that we cannot accommodate vehicles taller than 72 inches (approximately 6 feet).

It typically takes 2-3 business days for referring doctors to receive all ultrasound results. For echocardiograms and Holter monitors, it can take 3-5 business days.

Can I come as a walk-in for my ultrasound?

Yes, general ultrasound and X-ray services accept walk-ins Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM, and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. However, please call ahead to confirm availability for vascular and cardiac ultrasounds.
