How Long is the Test?

The test takes only 20 minutes.

Ultrasound pulses are emitted into the spine and/or femur neck, and the echoes returning from the bone are analyzed by the system to calculate bone density and fragility. This data is used to determine a 5-year risk of major orthopedic fracture.

How often can I perform the test?

The test can be performed as often as requested since it is ultrasound-based and paid by the patient. It is advisable to wait 3-6 months to detect significant changes in bone density.

What information will I leave with?

The system analyzes the acquired data and produces a report within 2 minutes after the scan.

Do you interpret the results?

The system interprets the results immediately upon the completion of the exam, and you can review them with a technician if requested.

What are the clinic's hours of operation?

We are open Monday to Sunday from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

Do I need an appointment for urgent care?

No, appointments are not needed for urgent care. Walk-ins are welcome!

How soon can you find gender?

Gender can typically be determined at 13 weeks if the baby is positioned well. If it’s difficult to see, we encourage a short break and will attempt again. If it remains unclear, we can schedule a complimentary rescan in a few days.

Does drinking water help?

Drinking ample water, especially 1-2 weeks before your ultrasound, is crucial for clear images. Good hydration contributes to better ultrasound results, though it's not a mandatory requirement. You may also do activities that stimulate your baby prior to the scan.

Can you guarantee good pictures?

No ultrasound provider can guarantee excellent images every time due to various factors including baby's position, which we humorously refer to as 'baby rules'.

Do you charge more for twins?

We do not increase charges for scanning twins or multiples. However, we recommend scheduling the scan earlier, usually between 18-26 weeks, for optimal results.

What is a 3D-4D ultrasound?

A 3D/4D ultrasound is created by reconstructing a 2D scan using specialized software. After the standard 2D scan, additional sweeps generate the 3D/4D images that provide a more comprehensive view.

How long should an ultrasound take?

Elective scans are typically performed within 20 minutes, adhering to safety standards established over the past 30 years. The FDA advises against non-medical ultrasound use.
