How do I sign up with a CRMA primary care physician (PCP)?

Call your desired PCP's office to verify they are accepting new patients and if they accept your insurance. If so, schedule an appointment and inform your previous PCP to send your medical records.

What should I do as a new patient?

Complete the new patient paperwork beforehand and arrive 15 minutes early for your appointment. Don't forget to bring your insurance card.

What insurance plans do you accept?

CRMA providers accept a variety of insurance plans, including Aetna, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Cigna, Medicare, Tufts, and United Healthcare, but some may be closed to new patients. It's advisable to confirm with your insurance carrier.

What types of MRI services do you offer?

We offer a range of MRI services including Breast MRI, FAST Breast MRI, Prostate MRI, MR Enterography, and MR Arthrography.

How quickly can I expect my MRI results?

Our board-certified radiologists interpret your images and provide your doctor with an accurate diagnosis in 24 hours or less.

Do I need a doctor's order to schedule an MRI?

Yes, you must have an order from your doctor to schedule your exam.

What is an elective prenatal ultrasound?

Elective 3D & 4D prenatal ultrasounds offer a bonding experience for families with their unborn baby, using realistic surface images to enhance connection.

Does this take the place of an ultrasound at my doctor's office?

Absolutely not. An elective ultrasound should be in addition to a medical ultrasound ordered by your healthcare provider.

How is this different than the ultrasound performed/ordered by my doctor?

Medical ultrasounds focus on detecting abnormalities, while elective ultrasounds at our facility provide a relaxed environment for bonding.

Is it safe? Are there any risks to me, or my baby?

Extensive studies have shown that ultrasound does not cause harm to mother or baby. The same type of sound waves are used in both 2D and 3D/4D ultrasounds.

Do I need an appointment?

Yes, appointments are required for all of our services.

How long does the 3D/4D ultrasound take?

The session lasts for a full hour, with the ultrasound itself taking about 25-30 minutes.

How far along should I be before I have a 3D/4D ultrasound?

It is recommended to schedule the ultrasound between 24-36 weeks of pregnancy for the best images.

Can I bring my family and friends?

Yes, we encourage clients to bring family and friends to share in this joyous experience.

Is the 3D/4D ultrasound covered by my medical insurance?

Currently, insurance does not cover elective ultrasounds, so payment is out of pocket.

We use state-of-the-art GE ultrasound machines for the best quality imaging.
