You can access your imaging results through our patient portal, which is available 24/7.

What is the difference between 2D/3D/4D ultrasounds?

2D ultrasounds provide traditional black and white images. 3D ultrasounds deliver lifelike images of your baby, capturing features like the face and hands. 4D ultrasounds add motion to these images, enabling a real-time video.

Are 4D and HD ultrasound safe for me and my baby?

Yes, ultrasound is safe for both the mother and baby.

Does this take the place of an ultrasound at my doctor's office?

Absolutely not! The elective ultrasounds offered by Sweet Baby Co. are meant to complement medical care and are not a substitute for doctor-ordered diagnostic ultrasounds.

Do I need an appointment?

Yes, appointments are required for all services.

How long does the 3D/4D Ultrasound take?

Depending on your chosen package, a 3D/4D ultrasound session lasts between 10 and 30 minutes.

How far along should I be before I have a 3D/4D ultrasound?

We recommend scheduling your ultrasound between the 25th and 34th week of pregnancy, although good images can be obtained as early as 22 weeks.

Will I always get a beautiful picture of my baby?

Usually, but it's not guaranteed. Factors like gestational age and amniotic fluid levels can affect image clarity.

Can I bring my family and friends?

Yes, we encourage inviting family and friends to share in this joyous occasion.

Are you able to tell the sex of the baby?

Yes, we can usually determine the baby's sex, but we can't guarantee cooperation during the session.

Are any of our elective services covered by Insurance?

No, these elective procedures are not covered by insurance.

How much does it cost?

We offer various packages to accommodate different budgets; please see our services page for more details.

Which doctor will be on call for my delivery?

The on-call doctor will depend on the day you deliver, as our provider schedule rotates. You can choose to see multiple providers for your visits or stick to one, but we cannot guarantee a specific doctor will attend your delivery unless you schedule an induction or c-section.

Do I have to have a full bladder for my ultrasound?

Whether you need a full bladder for your ultrasound depends on the purpose of the ultrasound. Most OB ultrasounds require a full bladder for better imaging, though some GYN ultrasounds might as well. It's best to consult our staff before using the restroom.

Is it safe to exercise while pregnant?

Yes, exercise is generally recommended during an uncomplicated pregnancy as it can ease labor and reduce the incidence of pre-term labor and cesarean sections. If you experience any discomfort or pain, reduce the intensity or stop and consult with your doctor.

Can I still be seen while on my menstrual cycle?

Your eligibility to be seen while on your menstrual cycle depends on the reason for your appointment. Please contact our office to discuss this.

What insurances do you accept?

We accept most major insurances, including Aetna, Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Medicare and its replacement plans, Tricare, United Healthcare, Medicaid, and Humana Medicaid Managed Care plans. It's advisable to verify your specific plan when making your appointment.

When will I know my results?

If you are registered on the patient portal, your results will be submitted there after review by your provider. If not, we will contact you via phone or send a letter if everything is normal. Please allow 7-10 business days for results, as some tests may take longer.

Do any of the providers deliver, operate, or see patients at Bay Medical Center?

No, our providers exclusively use Gulf Coast Medical Center for childbirth and surgery, which is the only area hospital with a neonatal intensive care unit.

What is the difference between a 2D mammogram and a 3D mammogram?

A 2D mammogram provides a flat image of breast tissue, which can obscure details. In contrast, a 3D mammogram captures breast tissue in one-millimeter slices for a clearer and more confident assessment, significantly improving detection of abnormalities.

What if I have an emergent issue that cannot wait until the next business day?

We provide 24/7 on-call coverage. For after-hours issues, select option #7 to leave a message for the on-call provider, including your details and a description of your emergency. If you do not receive a call back within 30 minutes, contact Labor and Delivery at Gulf Coast Medical Center.

What is Healthy Start?

Healthy Start services offered to our prenatal patients include care coordination, smoking cessation, educational resources on parenting and child development, bereavement counseling, and car seat safety education, all provided at no cost.

Does your office close for lunch?

No, we remain open from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. However, staff lunches are rotated between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM, so you may need to leave a message if you call during this time.

How is carpal tunnel syndrome or trigger finger diagnosed?

Your physician will review your symptoms, perform a physical exam, and use diagnostic tools like ultrasound imaging to confirm the condition and determine the best treatment plan.

Does insurance cover these procedures?

Most insurance plans, including Medicare, cover ultrasound-guided CTR and TFR procedures. Check with your provider for details on your specific coverage.

How long does the procedure take?

The entire procedure typically takes less than 30 minutes, making it a quick and convenient option for treatment.

Will I need pain medication after the procedure?

Most patients experience minimal discomfort that can be managed with over-the-counter pain relievers. Prescription pain medication is rarely needed.

How long until I can return to work or daily activities?

Many patients can resume light activities within a few days and return to regular routines in about a week, depending on the nature of their work and personal recovery.
