Typically, it takes about 24 hours for us to receive the results of your scan and send them to your doctor.

Can I receive a copy of the scan?

Absolutely! Your referring provider usually notes on your referral that you can receive a copy of your scan on a CD. If it's not noted, you can request a copy, and we will gladly provide one.

How long does an MRI take?

The duration of an MRI can vary based on the type of study, the number requested, and whether contrast is needed. Generally, MRIs take from 15 to 30 minutes, but if there is movement during the scan, it may take longer to ensure a clear image.

Does getting an MRI hurt?

Not at all! An MRI procedure is painless, and you will not feel anything.

Is there anything I need to let the radiology tech know ahead of time?

Yes, please inform us if you have any metal or electronic implants, such as aneurysm clips, cardiac pacemaker, or any magnetically-activated implants, as these can pose risks when entering an MRI machine.

If I'm in my first trimester, is a medical abortion an option?

The abortion pill is FDA-approved up through 10 weeks after your last menstrual period. It is not an option with certain medical conditions or an ectopic pregnancy.

Is abortion still legal in Florida?

Abortion is legal up through 6 weeks of pregnancy. Abortion methods are determined by how far along you are and the type of pregnancy.

Do I have to make an appointment online?

If you need pregnancy confirmation, including a free ultrasound, you will need to make an appointment. Walk-ins are welcome but are not guaranteed an appointment.
