It varies based on what you want to see. Many prefer to come in at 15 to 20 weeks for an overall view, then again at 27 to 32 weeks for detailed facial features.

We can determine gender with 99.8% accuracy via blood work starting at 8 weeks and via ultrasound starting from 15 weeks.

What should I do before the appointment?

Hydrate well and consume a fruit juice about an hour prior to the appointment to help wake the baby.
