Yes, 3D and 4D ultrasounds use the same frequencies as regular 2D ultrasounds, and extensive studies over the past 30 years show no harm to mother or baby. We adhere strictly to FDA standards.

What is SneakPeek® Clinical?

SneakPeek Clinical is an early gender DNA detection test available starting at 9 weeks into pregnancy, which requires a blood sample taken on-site by a phlebotomist.

Will this ultrasound replace an ultrasound ordered by my doctor?

No, our ultrasounds are elective and should not substitute for diagnostic ultrasounds ordered by your doctor.

Will my insurance cover the ultrasound?

No, the ultrasounds provided are elective and not covered by insurance.

What if I don't want to know the gender?

We can avoid the gender area during the ultrasound if you'd like.

What is the difference between 3D and 4D ultrasound?

3D ultrasound provides still images, while 4D ultrasound delivers moving 3D images.

Do I need to drink water before my appointment?

There are no mandatory water requirements, but staying hydrated in the days leading up to the appointment can enhance image quality.

Am I guaranteed to get beautiful pictures?

Image quality depends on several factors, and if a baby is uncooperative, we will reschedule you for another scan.

I'm having twins; will my scan cost more?

Not at all! We do not charge more for twins, although it may take more time to scan them.

Who can I bring to my ultrasound?

You can bring whoever you'd like! Our ultrasound room accommodates friends and family.

Do I need an appointment?

Yes, it’s important to schedule an appointment in advance.

When should I get an ultrasound?

You should get an ultrasound after receiving a positive pregnancy test result at Aim Women’s Center. Confirming your pregnancy requires more information than a pregnancy test; that’s why we offer no-cost confidential ultrasound scans.

How much will my appointment cost?

It is our primary goal to offer you support during an unplanned pregnancy, which is why we offer all of our services at no cost. You don’t need to bring any form of payment or insurance information with you.

Can I be pregnant and have an STD?

Yes, you can be pregnant and have an STI/STD at the same time. An untreated STI while pregnant can cause serious harm to you and your pregnancy. We offer no-cost testing and treatment if you have a positive pregnancy test and are considering abortion.

Can I bring someone with me to my appointment?

Yes! We want you to be as comfortable as possible. You are welcome to bring a family member, partner, or friend.

My period is late. How do I know if I’m pregnant?

A late period can be an early sign of pregnancy, but you may also experience changes in your menstrual cycle for other reasons. The first step should be a no-cost, confidential pregnancy test at Aim.

What insurance plans do you accept?

We accept most commercial insurances including Community Blue and UPMC, as well as Medicare.

Are same-day appointments available?

Yes, we offer same-day appointments for urgent care needs.

What services are offered at Greentree Medical?

We provide a wide range of services including primary care, X-rays, ultrasounds, wellness visits, and medical spa offerings.

How many positions does your program offer?

Our total annual class size is 12 residents; we offer 10 positions in the DR Residency Program and 2 positions in the IR Residency Program.

How many applications do you receive?

Historically, we receive approximately 1000+ applications each year.

What is your application review process like?

We start reviewing applications as soon as ERAS opens each year with a committee consisting of attending radiologists and chief residents.

Are COMLEX scores considered?

Yes, COMLEX scores will be considered alongside USMLE scores.

Do you have a minimum USMLE Step I score?

No, we consider each candidate based on their entire application.

How many letters of recommendation are required?

Three, with a fourth optional letter.

Do you need to receive all of my recommendation letters before reviewing my application?

No, we can begin reviewing your application before all letters are received.

Can you review my application materials and let me know if I’m competitive?

No, we cannot review application materials outside of ERAS.

Can I still apply if I graduated from medical school several years ago?

Yes, we do not specify a maximum length of time since graduation.

Do you consider international medical graduates?

Yes, applications from international medical graduates undergo the same review process.

What types of visa are available for international medical graduates?

The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center sponsors both J-1 and H1B visas.

Is experience in the U.S. required before I apply to your program?

No, it is not a requirement, but many international graduates have some relevant experience.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule my interview?

Please inform us as soon as possible so the slot can be offered to another applicant.

Can I interview on a date other than the ones you are offering this year?

No, we cannot change or expand our interview dates.

Will a 'second-look' visit improve my chances of matching at your program?

No, we do not currently offer a ‘second-look’ visit.

Can you tell me what’s wrong with my application if I was not invited for an interview?

No, we are unable to discuss individual applications.

Can you reconsider your decision if I was not invited for an interview?

In most cases, the decision to interview candidates is final.

Do you offer Early Specialization in Interventional Radiology (ESIR) spots?

Yes, we offer 3 ESIR spots per DR class.

Will your program consider special scheduling requests when assigning call and weekend shifts?

We are open Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and on Saturday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. We are closed on Sundays.

We provide individual counseling and support groups to help women process their feelings and experiences following an abortion.

All services provided are confidential and free of charge.
