What is the best fetal age for gender determination?

The optimal time for gender determination is 14 weeks or later. If we cannot determine due to factors like position or fluid clarity, a complimentary return visit will be offered.

What is the best time to have a 3D/4D/HD Ultrasound done?

We suggest scheduling the ultrasound between 22 weeks and birth, with the ideal time for clear images being 28-36 weeks.

What is the difference between an Elective and Diagnostic Prenatal Ultrasound?

An Elective Ultrasound is non-medical for bonding purposes, while a Diagnostic Ultrasound is performed by trained professionals and usually covered by insurance.

Is Ultrasound safe for my baby?

Yes, ultrasounds are safe for you and your baby. They use no radiation and the intensity is the same as traditional 2D scans.

Do I need an appointment?

How many family and friends should I bring with me?

You are welcome to bring as many family and friends as you want to share in this exciting experience.

Is the Ultrasound covered by Insurance?

Currently, 3D/4D/HD ultrasounds are elective procedures and not covered by insurance.

How do I prepare for my appointment?

Stay hydrated for optimal images; drink plenty of water leading up to your appointment.

Will I always get great pictures of my baby?

While we aim for the best images, factors like fetal position and fluid levels can affect image quality.

What is SneakPeek Clinical?

SneakPeek is a DNA blood test that determines gender from 6 weeks gestation, with results in 1-2 days via email.

Do I need a full bladder for the Ultrasound?

Most scans do not require a full bladder unless under ten weeks; drink 32 oz of water prior to your appointment.

Do you charge extra for twins?

Yes, there is a small additional fee for the 3D/4D packages for twins due to the extra time and care needed.

How long do the Ultrasounds last?

Ultrasounds generally last between 15 minutes and an hour, depending on the type of study conducted.
