I had a fantastic experience at Turnbull Diagnostic Imaging. The staff was incredibly warm and supportive, making the process so much easier for me. I highly recommend their ultrasound services!

The friendly atmosphere helped ease my nerves before my ultrasound. The results were quickly delivered to my doctor, too! Definitely a place I would suggest to others.
Frequently asked questions
help_outline Do I need an appointment?
X-rays are walk-in, no appointment needed. All other procedures require an appointment. Call 705-742-3639 to make one. Note that the X-Ray is unavailable from 12:30-1:30.
help_outline What happens if I have to cancel?
We require 24 hours notice to cancel your appointment or a $25.00 charge applies.
help_outline What happens if I am late?
We will make every effort to accommodate you. If the technologist feels that he/she is able to complete the test in the remaining time your test will be done. If not we will have to re-schedule.
help_outline Do I have to have a Turnbull Imaging requisition?
No, we accept any requisition that your doctor gives you for your imaging as long as your doctor signs it.
help_outline Do I have to pay for any of the imaging done at Turnbull?
Usually not, if you have a valid Health Card or out-of-province insurance. Otherwise we bill you directly. If you want a picture of your baby from your Obstetrical ultrasound we charge $10.00.
help_outline Where are you located?
170 Simcoe Street. Ground floor beside the Turnbull Cafe.
help_outline Where can I park?
1 Hour free parking is available at the City Parking garage behind the City Bus terminal. Enter off of either Hunter Street or Simcoe Street. Metered street parking is also available.
help_outline How long will I be?
Most examinations take up to 30 minutes.
help_outline How soon will my Doctor get results?
We aim to get reports out in 24 hours.
help_outline Can I take my Medications?
Yes, with sips of water.
help_outline Can we come with an out-of-town referral?
Yes, but we need the referring Doctor's name, 6-digit referring Physician number and their fax and phone numbers to send results.

No prep for X-rays . For other procedures please see Preparation instructions under 'Preparations' on this website.
help_outline Do I need to bring anything?
Bring your requisition and Health Card.
