Yes. Ultrasound reimbursement is eligible with a flexible spending account (FSA), health savings account (HSA) or a health reimbursement arrangement (HRA). Ultrasound is not eligible for reimbursement with a limited-purpose flexible spending account (LPFSA) or a dependent care flexible spending account (DCFSA). Please contact your plan administrator for further details.

According to the new American College of Radiology (ACR) guidelines, all women, especially those who are Black and Ashkenazi Jewish, should have a risk assessment by age 25 to determine if they need to begin screening earlier than age 40. Annual screening is recommended starting at age 40 for those at average risk.

SonoCine is an ultrasound technology that uses no x-rays, has no painful compression, and can reliably detect 4-10mm breast cancers in all breast tissue types and women with implants. Mammography, an x-ray method, involves painful compression and often misses small, easily treatable cancers in women with dense breast tissue.
