Frequently asked questions
help_outline What can I do to prepare for my ultrasound?
Being well-hydrated is our biggest ask. We recommend you double up on your water intake 3-4 days before your appointment. This does not mean you have to come with a full bladder (unless you are in your first trimester). To obtain a 3D/4D ultrasound, our sound waves need to travel through fluid. The more fluid that is in front of your baby's face, the better we can see your baby, given the baby is in a good position.
help_outline What if we don't see the baby's face at all?
We do not give up easy! If we are unable to get any photos of your baby’s face, we will offer you a free 10-15 minute rescan within 1-2 weeks of your current appointment.
help_outline How accurate are you at determining the gender of the baby?
As long as you come with a full bladder and are at least 14 weeks, our odds are really good. We do not guess the gender; we ensure we visualize it in two different views. If, for some reason we are unable to confirm, we will have you back for a free rescan within the next couple of days.
help_outline What if we don't want to know the gender?
No problem at all; we simply don’t look.
help_outline How many guests can I bring?
We welcome friends and family of all ages. We have a quaint children's area and comfortable seating for 6 guests, plus you and your spouse, making a total of 8 people. If you have more guests, we can pull in extra chairs.
help_outline When will I receive my digital images/video recording?
You will receive your digital images and video recording on the same day as your appointment.
help_outline What happens if you see something wrong with my baby?
Since our sonographers are registered diagnostic medical sonographers with MFM experience, we will let your OBGYN know if we see anything abnormal. However, we will not make any diagnoses.
help_outline What type of payment do you accept?
We accept various payment methods including cash, credit cards, Cash App, Apple Pay, Venmo, and PayPal.
help_outline Does my insurance cover my scan?
Since this is considered an elective ultrasound, your insurance will likely not cover it.
