What is Ultrasound Imaging?

Ultrasound technology uses high-frequency sound waves that bounce off tissue, providing varying frequencies based on tissue density, creating images for viewing. We utilize an FDA-approved GE Voluson Expert ultrasound machine.

What is the difference in 2D, 3D, 4D, and HD ultrasounds?

2D ultrasounds provide traditional black and white images, while 3D offers colorful pictures showing tissue details. 4D encompasses video images, and HD brings advanced rendering for highly realistic views.

When is the best time to have an ultrasound?

The optimal time for 3D/4D results is between 24-36 weeks, though we can perform ultrasounds anytime during pregnancy.

I'm having twins. Do you charge extra?

No additional charges apply for twins, but we recommend the Premium Glimpse for adequate time with each baby.

Will we be able to determine the baby's gender?

Gender can be identified as early as 6 weeks through a DNA test, and visually with ultrasound after 13 weeks.

Do I need to have a full bladder or drink a lot of water?

Staying hydrated improves image clarity. A full bladder is recommended if you're under 18 weeks; a light snack can also help.

Can I bring anyone with me to watch the ultrasound?

Yes! We welcome family and friends at our spacious studio which includes a 70" HDTV.

Do I need to make an appointment?

Appointments are required. You can book by calling or online, with a 24-hour notice for cancellations.

Will my insurance pay for the appointment?

Most insurers consider our ultrasounds elective, so they typically do not cover the cost.

Do you offer diagnostic ultrasound services?

We provide limited diagnostics like gender determination, baby position, and heart rate, but this is not a substitute for a complete diagnostic ultrasound.

What should I bring to my appointment?

Nothing is required; we provide everything needed for your session.

Can I bring my own music?

Yes, feel free to bring a playlist on your device. We also have a pre-set playlist if you prefer.

What if I lost my images/video?

We can reissue your images and videos on a thumb drive for a fee of $15.
