What is the objective of preventive health screenings?

Preventive health screenings aim to identify hidden disease risks, helping individuals understand their potential risk factors for conditions like stroke, heart disease, aneurysm, and cancer. This knowledge enables them to consult with their doctors and take proactive steps toward better health.

What do I expect?

Upon arrival at the testing site, you'll meet our friendly staff who will hand out necessary forms to complete. After processing your paperwork, you'll be taken to a private area for the screening services. Depending on the screening package, you may receive test information right away, along with details on when to expect results.

What do I wear the day of my screening?

It's advisable to wear loose-fitting clothing. Women should also avoid pantyhose, earrings, or necklaces that may need to be removed during the screenings.

How long will the screening take?

The complete screening process typically lasts between 30 to 45 minutes.

What qualifications do your technologists have?

Our technologists are certified to perform vascular and cardiac procedures by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers and/or Cardiovascular Credentialing International, ensuring proficiency in their field. They operate under the supervision of a licensed and certified Medical Director.

Who reads my preventative screening results?

All preventative screening results are interpreted by our experienced and board-certified medical physicians.

How will I receive my preventative screening results?

Results from your preventative screenings will be mailed to you within 21 days. If immediate attention is required, your physician will be notified on the day of the screening. Lab screening results are available within 15 minutes.

Does Medicare or insurance cover preventative health screenings?

Insurance coverage can differ by policy. You will receive a detailed receipt for submission to your insurance company to verify coverage, and it's recommended to include your results with this receipt.

How do I prepare for my ultrasound exam?

For abdominal ultrasound exams, you should not eat or drink after midnight, or for 6 hours prior to the appointment. For pelvic ultrasounds, drink 32oz of water an hour before the appointment and arrive with a full bladder.

How long will the ultrasound exam take?

Ultrasound exams generally take between 30 to 45 minutes.

What qualifications do technologists have for ultrasounds?

Our ultrasound technologists are registered and certified to perform related procedures, working under the guidance of a licensed medical director.

Who reads my ultrasound exam?

Highly experienced and board-certified medical physicians, either cardiologists or radiologists, review all ultrasound exams.

How will I receive my ultrasound exam results?

Your ultrasound results will be sent to the ordering physician via fax within 24 hours.
